Questions & Answers

Thoughtful answers to common questions.

I have received a meal plan from my Personal Trainer, what is the difference working with you?

Personal trainers are excellent at supporting body composition and training goals, often focusing on calories, macros, and consistency.

Holistic nutrition looks beyond food alone. I consider digestion, nutrient status, hormones, blood sugar, and external factors like stress, sleep, environment, and lifestyle - all of which influence how your body responds to food. Without being properly addressed, it can stall your results.

This approach supports long-term health and sustainable results, often alongside training.

Do you focus on root cause or symptom management?

My focus is on understanding and addressing root causes, not just managing symptoms. Symptoms are signals.

What if I am busy, tired or already overwhelmed?

That’s exactly when support help. My approach is designed to fit into real life - focusing on small, realistic changes that support your body without adding pressure or perfection.

Do you support a charity?

Yes. A portion of each 12-week program is donated by Gut Glow Coach to TLC for Kids. There is no additional cost to clients.

What if my blood tests always come back 'normal'?

'Normal' simply means your results fall within the population-based reference range - it doesn’t always reflect optimal function or how you feel. Many symptoms can exist long before results move outside those ranges.

I look at patterns, trends, and functional ranges, alongside your symptoms and lifestyle, to understand what your body may be struggling with, even when tests appear normal.

Do I need supplements, or is this food first?

Food always comes first. You can’t out supplement a poor diet, and nourishment from food is the foundation.

That said, many people do benefit from supplements due to factors like modern food quality, absorption issues, stress, or increased needs. They are not a replacement for food.

What makes you different from information I can find online?

Information is everywhere, understanding how it applies to you is the hard part. I help connect symptoms, patterns, and context so you’re not guessing alone.
